Ph.D. program applicants are encouraged to apply before March 1st to ensure best chances for financial support. Applicants that apply after this date, and before the Graduate School's mandated deadline, will still be considered for financial support subject to availability of funds.For special cases and exceptional candidates, we can request the graduate school to accept applications past the deadline.
Assistantships, Fellowships, and Financial Aid
You may apply for Graduate Teaching Assistantship (GTA), Graduate Research Assistantship (GRA), and other scholarships during your initial application process. Please follow the application procedure and instructions at the UTA Graduate Program Application page. Moreover, there are a few special opportunities:
- Enhanced Graduate Teaching Assistant (EGTA) (for Ph.D. and Ph.D. fast-track candidates)
- GAANN Fellowship (for U.S. citizens or permanent residents to pursue Ph.D. study)
Once you are admitted and enrolled into UTA, there are jobs and internships opportunities at the university. Furthermore, every year the Department of Computer Science and Engineering awards departmental scholarships to a few outstanding students.
