Prospective Students

The location of UTA  in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex - the nation's second largest technology corridor - makes possible exciting internships and job opportunities for Department of Computer Science and Engineering students.

In 2000 the department implemented a plan known as the Top 25 Initiative that was designed to enhance teaching and research excellence and advance the department to among the 25 top-ranked computer science and engineering  programs in the nation. Through that commitment to excellence, CSE ranks first in research funding at UTA. Its research faculty is internationally recognized.

Students are eligible for generous financial aid, including teaching assistantships and research assistantships for graduate students. Evening classes are offered, allowing working students to obtain degrees that will boost their careers.

Arlington, home to UTA, is centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth and abounds with recreational activities. It is a fun and exciting place to live and attend school.
