Whether you're considering a career as a software design engineer, systems engineer, technical advisor or some related field, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at UTA can give you the education and degree you need to succeed.

Our graduates work at America's leading companies and government agencies, including Microsoft, IBM, Raytheon, Nokia, NASA, Lockheed-Martin, Sabre-Holdings and others.

The department is noted for teaching and research excellence. Undergraduates have the opportunity to perform exciting, cutting-edge research with the department's internationally recognized faculty in such areas as robotics, artificial intelligence, software engineering and databases.

Students are eligible for generous financial aid, including teaching assistantships and research assistantships for graduate students. Evening classes are offered, allowing working students to obtain degrees that will boost their careers.

Our location in the nation's second-largest technology corridor - the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex - and strong relationship with leading technology companies provide you with great opportunities for internships and jobs. Degrees Offered

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers three ABET Accredited programs of study leading to the bachelor's degree: the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, and the Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering.  Students may also minor in Computer Science.

The department currently offer three master's programs and two Ph.D. degrees.

PhD program applicants are encouraged to apply before March 1st to ensure best chances for financial support. Applicants that apply after this date, and before the Graduate School's mandated deadline, will still be considered for financial support subject to availability of funds.

For special cases and exceptional candidates, we can request the graduate school to accept applications past the deadline.
