The CSE Evening MS program aims to meet local industry needs and to advance the DFW area technological workforce. It offers working professionals the opportunity to pursue a Master's degree while working. Evening courses will be open to full time and part time students .

Admitted students should be able to complete an MS degree in two years (3 courses/semester), three years (2 courses/semester) or longer for part timers with a strong background in two out of three attractive areas of concentrations:

  • Software Engineering
  • Database & Information Technology
  • Computer Network & Security


Admitted students can choose thesis option (8 courses + 1 thesis course) or non-thesis option (12 courses) to pursue one of the following three degrees:

  • Master of Software Engineering
  • Masterof Science in Computer Science
  • Master of Science in Computer Engineering

The program offers evening courses that are the most in demand in the IT industry with concentration in the following areas:

  • Software Engineering
    • agile development
    • applying software design patterns
    • software testing / test driven development
    • secure programming
  • Database & Information Technology
    • data mining / information retrieval
    • Web data management
    • social systems and recommendations
  • Computer Network & Security
    • wireless and sensor networks
    • pervasive computing
    • information and software security

Courses for the evening MS program will be offered on Monday-Thursday 5:30PM-7:00PM and 7:00PM -8:30PM. Courses offered at a company site can be arranged.
